Born in Rome in 1931, Sergio Strizzi starts working very young as a photo reporter dealing with all segments of chronicle. In 1952 he gets to the cinema industry working on the set of The Eleven Musketeers. In the same year he works on the set of Totò in color, and then in The Gold of Naples and The River Girl. Since then he cooperates with major Italian directors (Antonioni, Blasetti, Germi, Lattuada, Monicelli, Petri, Rosi) and with many foreign ones (John Huston, Peter Yates, Terry Gilliam). Internationally known, he is called to work on the sets of the 007 series. His feature on Audrey Hepburn, commissioned by "Life" magazine in the 70s, becomes a famous one. He can count more than one hundred films in his carrier and during the last years he has worked on the films of Benigni (Life is Beautiful, Pinocchio) Tornatore (The Legend of 1900, Malena), Scola (Unfair Competition) and Liliana Cavani (Ripley's Game). Keen on his job until the last minute, his images are available on www.photomovie.net for editorial usage.
